"The Family Tradition for Quality Lives On"
Our “PFC” cantaloupes are grown on some of the most fertile soil in the Imperial Valley of Southern California, and the San Joaquin Valley in Central California. We focus on growing cantaloupe varieties that have more traditional color and flavor, while maintaining the extended shelf life of newer varieties. Along with these new hybrid varieties, we are also growing traditional Western cantaloupes for those who want a softer flesh melon.
Our “Blue Ribbon” honeydews are grown in Holtville, Bakersfield, and Mendota, California. These honeydews are cultivated for flavor and sugar to keep your customers coming back for more. Honeydews are typically harvested around 10% brix, which gives them decent flavor and longer shelf life. However, we leave them on the vine a little longer, and look for 11-13% brix on our “Blue Ribbon” honeydew, which really brings out the sweet flavor.
Our Watermelons are "Blue Ribbon" labels. They are cultivated for flavor and sugar and are grown in the San Joaquin and Imperial Valley. We harvest them at the optimum time, when the brick level reaches 10-12% and the flesh is a deep red color. Our sweet flavor keeps customers happy while coming back for more.
The hami-gua melon was originated and cultivated in the Xinjiang region of Northwest China. Golden Hami’s are a sweet, crunchy, and oblong shaped melon. We harvest Hami's around 13-15% brix, producing a sweet- honey like flavor. The exterior is gold with light netting and a creamy light orange colored meat. Our Hami melons have a very sweet and crisp flesh. and come in the same box as our honeydews.
